Dec 3rd Update
December
Rusty Strobeck is a lead role in a play tonight and tomorrow
at Arbor View. Play starts at 6pm.
Next Saturday the 12th we will be wrapping presents at the Rescue Mission.
Please arrive at 9am and we will wrap until presents are done.
Sunday night the 13th at the Howard's we will have a teen Christmas Party.
Please bring a small gift to exchange $7 or less. Party from 6pm-8pm.
The next two Wednesday's the teens will be preparing their voices with
other singers for a night of caroling. The night of caroling will be announced
next week.
January
I have some great new resources from Mark Gungor including
Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage DVD's and Sex Dating and Relating DVD's.
I am thinking about showing the teen DVD's in January, but it would not
be for their viewing only it would require parents to be involved. Would this
work best on a Sunday night format at 6pm? Other suggestions? The
teen DVD is a four disc set that could be completed between Jan-Feb. If there is
interest we could continue the series with the marriage DVD's following Feb.
Summer
Yeah, I know it barely feels like winter, but summer plans are unfolding.
Several years ago we went to Dry Bones Denver for 3 days of climbing a mountain
and 3 days of learning how to share our faith story with others in the city of Denver.
This summer we have been picked to go back.The trip will be open for current 8th
graders through 12th grade. Browse the website and specifically this part about
Elevations as you pray about your child participating. The dates are July 12th-17th.
(You I say we have been picked, essentially the experience and time with Dry Bones
is overwhelmed with youth groups wanting to participate and they have to pick groups
based upon a lottery system.)
I am trying to get a general idea in who is interested in going so they can figure out
if they can add another smaller group with us or not. Please let me know if you are
interested.
